Warm rain, soft ground, the year at its most fertile. Farmers stop planting and start watching. The same shift applies to anything you have already started: the useful move is maintenance, not addition.
The three micro-seasons
Every term divides into three pentads of about five days.
- Duckweed appears
- Doves coo
- Hoopoes land on mulberries
What to do in these fifteen days
- Water what you planted — a habit, a project, a friendship — instead of starting something new.
- Keep a window open while you sleep. Nights are finally warm enough.
- Cut your screen time by twenty minutes and give it to daylight.
